New Delhi:The 15th session of the Strategic Consultation Group meeting between Oman and India took place in New Delhi, focusing on enhancing economic relations and expanding joint cooperation.
According to Oman News Agency, the Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while Sripriya Ranganathan, Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs for Consular, Passport, and Overseas Indian Affairs, headed the Indian side.
During the meeting, discussions centered on the activation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two nations. This agreement aims to boost commercial and investment exchanges and broaden the scope of joint economic ventures.
Both sides also explored areas of cooperation in civil aviation, maritime transport, logistics, and energy. Additionally, they addressed several consular issues, bilateral agreements, and shared perspectives on regional developments.
The meeting saw the participation of Issa Saleh Al Shaibani, Ambassador of Oman to India, along with other officials from both countries.
