Oman and Italy Strengthen Tourism and Heritage Cooperation

Rome:Oman's Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Sayyid Ibrahim Said Al Busaidi, engaged in discussions with Italian officials to enhance cooperation in heritage and tourism during his visit to Italy.

According to Oman News Agency, the minister explored partnership opportunities with Italian institutions, focusing on mountain and adventure tourism development with the Italian Alpine Club and Renco Company. The collaboration aims to utilize Italian expertise in trail development and services to diversify Oman's tourism experiences.

The minister also visited the Colosseum Archaeological Park to learn about its heritage protection strategies and discuss exchanging expertise in site management and visitor experience enhancement. Meetings with Inter Milan representatives examined ways to leverage sports for tourism promotion to showcase Oman’s tourism assets.

Furthermore, a presentation by AIGO, manager of the Omani Tourism Promotion Office in Italy, highlighted the Italian tourism market and strategies to enhance Oman's presence within it. Discussions with Italian media aimed to promote Oman's diverse tourism and heritage experiences.

These initiatives are part of Oman's efforts to build international partnerships, leverage specialized expertise in tourism development, and strengthen its position in key tourism markets.
