Barka:The second leg of the races for privately-owned camels in the 2026/2027 season concluded at Al Fulaij racecourse in the Wilayat of Barka today.
According to Oman News Agency, the event was organized by the Oman Camel Racing Federation and included competitions among various camel categories. These categories included Jidaa, for camels aged 4 to 5 years; Thanaya, for camels aged 5 to 6 years; Hawl, for female camels aged 6 years or more; and Zamool, for male camels aged 6 years or more.
The final day's program consisted of 14 races. Six races were dedicated to the Jidaa segment, covering a distance of 5 kilometers. The Thanaya segment competed in three races, each covering 6 kilometers. Additionally, four races, each 6 kilometers long, were held for the Hawl and Zamoul segments.
