Jenin-Ma'an- The Vice President of the Arab American University for Ramallah Campus, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Asia, received a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Palestine Office, which visited the university to strengthen relations and enhance cooperation between the two parties and to view the services provided by the university through the prosthetic limbs factory and medical and health centers. The visiting delegation included Professor Franz Joseph from the American MIT Institute, and Mr. Hakam Al-Tawil and Mr. Firas Farsakh, representatives of JICA. They were received by Mr. Mustafa Irsheid, Director of the Artificial Limbs and Assistive Devices Factory at the University, and Mr. Walid Abu Samra, Technical Director of the Artificial Limbs Factory. The visit aimed to see the facilities of the Arab American University, especially the prosthetic limbs factory, and to learn about the services provided by these centers in addition to the infrastructure for the possibility of establ ishing partnerships and contracts for rehabilitation and manufacturing devices to serve the Palestinian people. Professor Dr. Asia welcomed the guest delegation and gave a detailed explanation about the university, its establishment, the prosthetic limbs factory and the services it provides with advanced scientific capabilities, noting that the prosthetic limbs factory is one of the distinguished factories in the Middle East. He also gave an explanation about the medical and health services at the university, which are provided through the university's medical rehabilitation complex, stressing that the university's centers, in addition to providing their services to the Palestinian public, provide an educational environment for its students in the university's medical colleges.
