Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, conferred today wirh Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, who visited him in Dimane, on the outcome of the recent "Five-Member Committee" meetings. Ambassador Bukhari assured the Patriarch that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always stands by Lebanon and is keen on helping it overcome its crises at all levels. Bukhari briefed the Patriarch on the most prominent points discussed in the meetings of the Five-Member Committee, and what the expected visit by French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian to Lebanon will contribute to advancing the presidential file. The current situation in south Lebanon and the war in Gaza also featured high during their talks. The Saudi Ambassador did not make any statement following the meeting.
