Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in a phone call, offered his condolences to the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, over the victims of the terrorist shooting in the Wadi Al-Kabir area in Muscat, according to “Russia Today”. Al-Sisi expressed "Egypt's condemnation of this sinful terrorist incident, and full solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman in this circumstance, and within the framework of continued efforts to combat terrorism and extremism." For his part, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq appreciated Egypt’s positions in support of the Sultanate, stressing the strength and depth of the historical fraternal relations that bring together Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman and their brotherly peoples, and his country’s keenness to continue consolidating the distinguished bilateral cooperation between both countries in various fields.
