He emphasised that Bahrain made an unprecedented contribution to humanitarian efforts, which strengthened Bahrain's regional and global standing. This came in a statement issued on International Humanitarian Day, which is celebrated internationally on August 19 of each year. The Speaker affirmed that the vision of His Majesty the King represents a roadmap to support humanitarian work and a role model in that field. He also commended the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing Bahrain's humanitarian mission through innovative programmes and initiatives.
