The Lebanese authorities arrested a Syrian national accused of working for Israel, according to what the Lebanese News Agency reported, shortly before midnight on Thursday. The agency reported that "a patrol from the General Security Information Department - National Security Department in Chouf, arrested, after monitoring and following up, a person of Syrian nationality (M. A. H.) in the town of Deir al-Qamar, who is accused of working for Israel." The agency confirmed that "his mission was to identify and inspect sites after they were bombed." She said that "he came to the Chouf area, after he was injured in the Beirut area." On Thursday evening, an Israeli aggression targeted the Ras al-Nabaa and al-Nuwairi areas outside the southern suburbs and in the center of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded. Israeli reports indicated that the target was the head of internal security and a leader in Hezbollah and the husband of Hassan Nasrallah's sister, Wafiq Safa, while a l eader in Hezbollah announced the failure of the assassination attempt and Safa's survival.
