ASMED Initiates Dialogue on Financing Opportunities for SMEs

Muscat: The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) today organized a dialogue session focused on enhancing opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the financial services sector.

According to Oman News Agency, the session was part of ASMED's ongoing efforts to improve the business environment for SMEs. The initiative aims to bolster the role of SMEs in financial services development by introducing innovative ideas and improving operational efficiency.

The dialogue also explored ways to encourage partnerships between government entities and the private sector, highlighting the importance of cooperation with SMEs. Additionally, the session aimed to raise public awareness about the SME sector's significance as a vital partner in supporting the national economy.

Key topics during the session included discussions on policies, legislation, licensing, and enablers that support SMEs in offering innovative solutions and generating partnerships in the financial services sector.

The dialogue session was attended by Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, CEO of the Financial Services Authority, and Halima Rashid Al Zar'ai, Chairperson of ASMED, along with officials from relevant authorities and SME owners.
