Ramallah Ma'an - Attorney General Counselor Akram Al-Khatib received today, Wednesday, a delegation from the Jerusalem Water Authority headed by Director General Abdul Khaliq Al-Karmi. The delegation included members of the Board of Directors and legal advisors. The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Public Prosecution and the Water Authority, with a focus on legal issues related to water theft and encroachments on water meters and related facilities. During the meeting, the Attorney General stressed the importance of effective cooperation between the Public Prosecution and various Palestinian institutions, whether official, civil or private, in order to confront the challenges facing Palestinian society. He also praised the efforts of the Jerusalem Water Authority in addressing issues related to the water sector, stressing the Public Prosecution's commitment to strengthening the rule of law in this vital sector, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances experienced by the Palestinian people. For his part, Director General Abdul Khaliq Al Karmi praised the role of the Public Prosecution in supporting and consolidating the rule of law, praising the efforts of His Excellency the Attorney General in this field. He also stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination with the Public Prosecution to ensure the provision of the best services to citizens and the protection of their rights to obtain water.
