Manama: The "Bahrain 1" racing team achieved a historic triumph, securing the top three positions and a fifth-place finish at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series in Las Vegas. His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Personal Representative and the owner of Bahrain 1 team, attributed this exceptional success to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Abdullah also underscored the role of national sponsors, including Bapco Energies, Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba), Beyon, the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), and the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), in helping the team achieve this international victory. His Highness said this historical and exceptional sport achievement is a testament to the dedication and determination of the team, noting that they consistently showcase Bahrain's excellence on the international stage. HH Sha ikh Abdullah expressed deep pride in their success and looked forward to seeing even greater accomplishments in the future. His Highness praised the drivers' performance: Jordan Lazic (1st place), Justin Bond (2nd place), Khalid AlBalooshi (3rd place), and Kris Thorne (5th place). HH Shaikh Abdullah also expressed his gratitude to the management and technical teams, whose commitment were critical to this success. His Highness said that this third global title for "Bahrain 1," following championships in 2019 and 2020, further solidifies Bahrain's standing in international motorsports. HH Shaikh Abdullah emphasised the Kingdom's dedication to nurturing local talent and supporting young Bahrainis in making their mark on the global stage. Khaled Al Balooshi, Team manager of "Bahrain 1" congratulated HH Shaikh Abdullah on this win.
