Ramallah Ma'an - Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement, described the new Human Rights Watch report on the events of October 7 as a serious failure for an organization that should have been sincerely committed to human rights standards. He said that the report is completely devoid of objectivity and scientific professionalism and repeats without justification or evidence the false Israeli narrative and Israeli lies that were refuted and proven false by Western media, which cannot be accused of bias towards the Palestinian side. Al-Barghouti added: It seems that Human Rights Watch has succumbed to Israeli intellectual terrorism and Israeli and perhaps American pressures, and is trying through its new report to please the Israeli side, which continued its criticism of it because of what it previously referred to as Israeli war crimes. Barghouti stressed that the objectivity and professionalism of any human rights organization does not lie in playing a semi-n eutral role between the killer and the victim, and between the Israeli perpetrator of genocide and his victim, the Palestinian people, but rather in taking a firm and steadfast position against the aggressive war criminals and their crimes. He concluded by saying that this serious lapse threatens the reputation of Human Rights Watch, which must apologize for what it did and withdraw its shameful report. Source: Maan News Agency
