Ramallah - Ma'an - Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham received in his office in Ramallah on Friday the European Union Representative to the State of Palestine Alexander Stutzmann, where they discussed some issues related to education and the challenges it faces. Barham briefed Stutzman on the ministry's current priorities, particularly in light of the ongoing occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and its repercussions and effects on the components of the educational learning process, pointing to the efforts led by the ministry to protect the right of children and students in schools and universities to complete their education and compensate for what they missed as a result of the aggression. The minister appreciated the European Union's contribution and support for education in many areas, pointing to the importance of dedicating efforts to ensuring the cessation of aggression and providing the needs that constitute a basis for supporting and developing educatio n. In turn, Stutzman stressed the European Union's constant keenness to support education, build capacities, and exchange expertise and experiences that ensure the development and advancement of education, stressing its interest in providing all means that ensure the protection of education, especially in light of the challenges facing it. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Nafeh Assaf, and from the European Union, Ibrahim Al-Afia. Source: Maan News Agency
