The occupation authorities continue to impose restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa to perform Friday prayers. The occupation forces set up checkpoints in the city streets, deployed their forces at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and prevented hundreds of young men from entering Al-Aqsa without reason. The forces assaulted and pushed the young men at the gates of Al-Aqsa, and pursued them from one place to another. During this, they beat them with sticks and prevented them from being present or sitting on the thresholds of Al-Aqsa to perform prayers. The worshipers explained that the restrictions and procedures are subject to the orders and moods of the officers and forces stationed at the gates. It is possible for us to enter through the gates of the Old City, and at the Al-Aqsa Gate we are prevented and beaten, and when we try from another gate we may enter or be intercepted for assault again. The worshipers added that the forces placed four checkpoints on the road to Bab al- Asbat and Bab al-Asbat today, prevented hundreds from entering, and assaulted the worshipers. Young worshippers, who were prevented from praying, performed Friday prayers in the streets and alleys. While only 30,000 worshipers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa due to the restrictions imposed and the tightening of measures taken at the gates of the mosque and the Old City. The forces also subjected the children and women's possessions (bags or bags) to a thorough search. During the prayer, in the second rak'ah, the Al-Aqsa Mosque's speakers broke down, and worshippers were forced to complete the prayer individually or collectively without speakers. The Endowments told Ma'an News Agency that what happened was due to "an explosion in the sound equipment complex," and work is underway to repair it. Source: Maan News Agency
