Muscat: The Board of Directors of the Social Investment Centre affiliated to Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today convened to discuss its annual plan for the year 2025 and the proposed budget aimed at enhancing sustainable social investment. The meeting was held under the leadership of HH Sayyida Dr. Mona Fahad Al Said, Chairperson of the Centre's Board of Directors, with the participation of various stakeholders. According to Oman News Agency, the meeting emphasized the significance of enhancing cooperation and sharing expertise with similar centres both locally and internationally. This would be achieved through organizing visits and implementing joint programmes that contribute to localizing knowledge and endorsing best practices. Furthermore, discussions were held on draft financial and administrative regulations designed to ensure effective governance of the centre. The Board also stressed the necessity of transforming social investment programmes, projects, and initiatives into sustainab le investments capable of achieving a long-term impact. Additionally, the meeting explored opportunities for establishing strategic partnerships with both the public and private sectors to achieve integration towards sustainable social development.
