Bou Habib broaches latest developments with Sheibani, receives Spanish invitation to attend 9th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean and a European Ministerial Meeting

Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Abdallah Bou Habib, on Wednesday received in his office at the Ministry, the Iranian Foreign Minister's Special Representative for the West Asia region, Mohammad-Reza Sheibani. Discussions reportedly touched on the latest developments related to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, and the developments in the region. Minister Bou Habib also received Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesús Santos Aguado, who handed him an invitation to attend the 9th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean, and the 5th Ministerial Meeting of the European Union and the Southern Neighborhood Countries, which will be held in Barcelona on October 28, 2024. Discussions reportedly touched on the topics that will be discussed during the two aforementioned meetings, in addition to the Israeli war on Lebanon. Bou Habib duly accepted the invitation to attend the Barcelona meetings, after which he will head to the Spanish capital, Madrid, where he will hold several bilater al meetings to discuss the situation in Lebanon and ways to stop the Israeli aggression.
