Championship of School Beach Games Concludes in Salalah

Muscat: The 5th edition of the School Beach Games championship, organized by the Oman School Sports Association, concluded today at the sand courts of the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. According to Oman News Agency, the closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Sulaiman bin Ali Al Busaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers. The event was also attended by Dr. Intisar Abdullah Al Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Support Programmes. The championship, which took place from 30 August to 3 September 2026, featured participation from 102 students who competed in beach handball and beach volleyball. In a thrilling finish to the beach volleyball competition, Muscat Education Directorate emerged victorious by defeating North Al Batinah Education Directorate in two sets. Meanwhile, in the beach handball final, Muscat Education Directorate also secured a win against A'Dakhiliyah Education Directorate, again in two sets.
