China Issues Yellow Alert for Snowstorms, Cold Wave.


China: China’s meteorological authority today issued a yellow alert for snowstorms, warning that blizzards are expected to hit parts of the country’s northeast. The alert specifically indicates that from today to tomorrow, snowstorms will lash areas including Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning, as stated by the National Meteorological Center.

According to Oman News Agency, parts of Liaoning are anticipated to receive 20-25 millimeters of snow during this period. Additionally, the center has also renewed a yellow alert for a cold wave, forecasting a significant temperature drop in most parts of central and northern China. Over the next four days, temperatures are expected to plunge by 6-10 degrees Celsius.

China employs a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system to communicate the severity of weather conditions, with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow, and blue. The current yellow alert indicates a moderate level of weather threat, urging residents and authoritie
