Civil Defence Boosts Safety Measures in Dhofar’s Tourist Regions

Dhofar: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority has intensified its field operations in Dhofar Governorate during the 2025 Khareef (monsoon) season as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing safety measures. The governorate continues to attract increasing numbers of visitors from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman due to its unique natural tourism attractions.

According to Oman News Agency, the authority has strengthened its on-ground presence by deploying specialized teams across key tourist and natural sites, including wadis, beaches, mountain areas, and waterfalls. This aims to ensure rapid emergency response, secure locations, and provide rescue and ambulance services, guaranteeing the safety of all and reinforcing a sense of security among visitors and residents.

Additionally, the authority continues its awareness campaigns through educational and guidance programs targeting both visitors and the local community. These initiatives aim to raise awareness about potential hazards in natural sites, emphasize the importance of adhering to public safety guidelines, and discourage risky behaviors that could endanger lives.
