Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour, on Tuesday received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari. According to a statement by the Embassy of the State of Palestine, Ambassador Dabbour reportedly briefed his Saudi counterpart on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the constant attacks on the Palestinian people and the Islamic and Christian sanctities. Ambassador Dabour hailed "the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's permanent and steadfast positions in supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of our Palestinian people to freedom and independence." Ambassador Bukhari reiterated the necessity of a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions, in a way that guarantees the brotherly Palestinian people their inalienable right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with East al-Quds as its capital.
