Manama, The Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee of the National Institution for Human Right (NIHR) held its monthly meeting, chaired by Dr. Malallah Jaafar Al Hammadi. The committee reviewed its upcoming field visit plan for the rest of the year, which includes four visits to healthcare, social care, and educational institutions. These visits will cover the open prisons complex in Al Hamala, the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, the Shaikhan Al Farsi Comprehensive Speech Centre, and a private educational institution. The visits aim to assess human rights conditions and ensure the provisions of basic rights, in line with national legislation and international resolutions. The committee also followed up on action taken regarding its previous decisions and recommendations, particularly those involving official entities. Source: Bahrain News Agency
