Dhofar: Dhofar Governorate will host the first ALECSO Regional Forum on Arts and Culture Education from 1-2 September 2025. The forum is organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). According to Oman News Agency, the forum will be attended by a number of experts and educators specializing in culture, arts, and education from ALECSO, as well as representatives from the GCC countries. This forum is a direct result of ALECSO's push to enhance the role of culture and arts within the education system. It aligns with the UNESCO World Framework for Culture and Arts Education, which was launched at the global conference in Abu Dhabi in 2024. The forum also aims to support partnerships between governments, cultural institutions, and the private sector, and to encourage investment in educational and cultural infrastructure. The forum will also feature field visits to prominent educational and cultural institutions in Dhofar Go vernorate. Furthermore, it will host practical workshops focused on utilizing modern technologies in arts education, which will enhance the effectiveness of arts education practices and support innovation and creativity among students.
