Salalah: A dialogue session titled 'Protecting the Family in the Face of Contemporary Challenges' was held today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. The session was organized by the Ministry of Social Development in partnership with the Public Prosecution and the Royal Oman Police. The event featured a visual presentation titled 'Our Home is Safe', with the participation of several specialists from relevant institutions. The discussion revolved around three main themes: the first focused on addiction-related issues, the second addressed electronic fraud and blackmail, while the third explored child protection.
According to Oman News Agency, the session aimed to foster constructive communication among family members and examine contemporary challenges such as addiction, fraud, cyber blackmail, and child protection, with an emphasis on local issues in the governorate, while proposing solutions to enhance family stability.
The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development.
