Hebron-Ma'an- Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin met with the Secretary-General of the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions Shaher Saad and the accompanying delegation of members of the General Secretariat and secretaries of the Federation, in his office today, Wednesday. Dudin welcomed the delegation, praising the role of the union in serving a large segment of the Palestinian people, who constitute the driving force of the national economy, pointing out the importance of partnership and cooperation, especially since the largest number of workers are from the Hebron Governorate, reviewing the poor conditions they face and their cessation of work due to the ongoing aggression against our people since October 7 and the repercussions of that on the labor sector and the Palestinian economy as a whole. In turn, Saad spoke about the role of the union and the activities and programs it carries out to defend workers' rights, pointing out the most prominent challenges facing workers, the most important of which is their work stoppage for the tenth consecutive month, and the effects of this on the economic and social dimensions of workers, stressing that there are many projects to support workers through the International Labor Organization that will be implemented during the coming period.
