Cairo, Hassan El Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt, met with Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League. Ambassador Zainal extended her sincere congratulations to Minister El Khatib on his appointment, wishing him continued success. She emphasised the ongoing development and strengthening of relations between the two countries across various sectors, highlighting the solid foundation of strategic cooperation and mutual respect. She also commended the economic ties, shared investments, and bilateral trade, underscoring the efforts of the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Governmental Committee in activating and reinforcing signed agreements, memoranda of understanding, and cooperation protocols. Minister El Khatib reaffirmed the deep bilateral relations and expressed his aspiration to boost investments and trade. He noted the Ministry's commitment to expanding cooperation to attract Bahraini investments in Egypt across various sec tors. The meeting also discussed enhancing bilateral economic relations, trade exchange, and joint investments, aiming to further broaden cooperation to serve economies of both countries.
