Abu Dhabi, Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, discussed with Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, various initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing cooperation to achieve sustainability in the energy sector. The discussion took place on the sidelines of the 2024 World Utilities Congress and the Arab Water Forum, both held in Abu Dhabi. The two ministers addressed shared key issues discussed at the events, including innovative technologies and solutions to tackle common challenges in sustainability and water security, and their role in advancing national and international efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. The meeting also covered matters related to ensuring the sustainability of water resources, emphasising the need for self-sufficiency through increased innovation and investment in relevant sectors. Both ministers emphasised the importance of international cooperation in achieving water security and addressing cl imate change, while also highlighting the significance of enhancing bilateral cooperation on utilities and water security.
