High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell condemned the Israeli bombing of the Al Tabin School sheltering internally displaced people located in the Al Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City, which claimed the lives of more than 100 Palestinians and injured dozens. In a post on X, Borrell said, "Horrified by images from a sheltering school in Gaza hit by an Israeli strike, with reportedly dozens of Palestinian victims. At least 10 schools were targeted in the last weeks. Theres no justification for these massacres. We are dismayed by the terrible overall death toll." The EU foreign policy chief continued, "Over 40,000 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of the war," adding that only a ceasefire would put an end to the killing of civilians and release the hostages.
