Magny-cours: International racer Faisal Al-Zubair of Oman's Al-Manar Racing, in technical collaboration with WRT, delivered an outstanding performance at the Magny-Cours round of the 2025 GT World Challenge - Sprint Cup. The Omani driver finished second in Race 1 and fourth in Race 2 within the Gold Cup category. According to Oman News Agency, these results came after Al-Zubair and his teammate Jens Klingmann crossed the finish line in third place in Race 1 but were promoted to second due to a penalty imposed on a rival team. This strengthened their position in the fiercely competitive championship, which features elite global teams and 40 cars across various classes and manufacturers. In Race 1, Klingmann started from fourth on the grid and gained positions in the early stages before handing over the BMW M4 GT3 Evo to Al-Zubair. The Omani driver maintained a strong pace under the lights of the Magny-Cours circuit, securing second place behind Garage 59. Race 2 saw Al-Zubair shine during the opening laps, advancing from sixth to fifth before Tresor Attempto briefly reclaimed the position. After a smooth driver swap, Klingmann fought to regain ground, but late-race yellow flags prevented a podium finish, leaving the team in fourth place. Saintéloc Racing took victory in the race.
