Manama, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Shamina Singh, President of the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and Executive Vice President of Sustainability at Mastercard, Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, was present. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted Bahrain's efforts to accelerate digital transformation and adapt to the latest technological advancements. He emphasised the importance of introducing innovative initiatives in the fintech sector to enhance the speed, efficiency, and security of financial transactions. The minister affirmed Bahrain's commitment to developing its digital infrastructure in the financial sector, aiming to support economic growth and achieve key strategic goals. He also stressed the significance of fostering partnerships with the private sector, recognising its critical role in driving Bahrain's comprehensive development process.
