The Five-Member Committee held a meeting at the Pine Palace today, during which 'the importance of electing a president of the republic was stressed due to the threat Lebanon faces in wake of the presidential vacuum, the price of which is paid by Lebanon and the Lebanese.' The meeting was an opportunity to emphasize the unity of the five-member committee, as its holding was important in light of the prevailing circumstances.
