Organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the Food Security Lab 2024 wound up with 41 investment projects in various sectors. The projects had an investment value of more than RO 45 million. The lab also generated 66 investment opportunities and introduced 24 'enabling initiatives' for projects in the sectors of food security and logistics, besides launching two business platforms codenamed "Tharawat" (Riches) and "Zad" (Supply). The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Eng. Said Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. It was attended by ministers, undersecretaries, members of the State Council and the Shura Council and representatives of companies operating in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, water resources and logistics. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning also inked 177 agreements in the field of food security, with an investment value of more than RO 32.3.
