Jerusalem - Ma'an - For the second day, the occupation authorities, with their various institutions, carried out a campaign of attacks in the Shuafat camp and the town of Anata, in the city of Jerusalem. The occupation authorities began the campaign of attacks in Shuafat camp and Anata town in the morning hours, by following slow and complicated inspection procedures at the military checkpoint erected at the entrance to Shuafat for vehicles, buses and pedestrians, in addition to being present at the entrance to Anata, randomly stopping vehicles and checking IDs, which led to traffic crises in the streets of the camp. Meanwhile, the forces, accompanied by various crews from the "Health, Tax, Inspection and Construction, and Police" stormed the Shuafat and Anata camps, raided dozens of shops and warehouses, searched the goods, confiscated cigarettes and eggs, and examined the papers of the shops, and were stationed at their doors for several continuous hours. Residents of Shuafat camp documented the occupat ion soldiers destroying dozens of egg cartons in containers and taking pictures during that, provoking residents and merchants. The forces also took up positions at the doors of residential buildings, and pointed their weapons at the houses, to prevent the residents from being in them. Inside the streets of the camp and Anata, the forces set up police checkpoints, searched vehicles, cancelled the licenses of many vehicles, and imposed fines on their owners. The forces arrested two young men, while the municipality delivered summonses to a number of shop owners. Source: Maan News Agency
