Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, held a series of telephone conversations with several regional counterparts to discuss the latest developments and ongoing efforts to ease tensions. According to Oman News Agency, the calls included discussions with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA); Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait; Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt; and Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The telephone discussions focused on reaching practical, fair, and sustainable understandings on navigation and supply chain flows through political and diplomatic solutions, in the interest of regional countr ies and all parties benefiting from maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. The Foreign Minister and his regional counterparts underscored the imperative of safe navigation and the restoration of trade flows and supply chains linked to the regional and global economy. They also agreed to continue coordination and consultation to support regional security and stability.
