Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, engaged in strategic discussions with Her Excellency Yvette Cooper, British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, and Sheikh Jarah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait. The conversations, held via telephone, focused on the latest developments in the region, addressing the need to defuse escalation and advance political and diplomatic solutions to ensure safe maritime navigation in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, which are crucial for global economic stability. According to Oman News Agency, the dialogue between Sayyid Badr and Yvette Cooper underscored the importance of sustaining efforts to contain tensions and strengthen dialogue mechanisms. Both ministers emphasized contributing to the consolidation of regional and international security and stability. In a separate conversation with Sheikh Jarah, Sayyid Badr discussed regional developments with a focus on de-escalation an d consolidating political approaches. The discussions highlighted the importance of prioritizing dialogue and mutual understanding to preserve regional security and stability.
