Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call today with Dr. Ali Bagheri Kani, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the call, the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions and prevent escalation that could result in the spread of conflict and the expansion of war, thereby posing serious threats to regional peace, security, and stability, as well as the interests of the people of the region. The minister reaffirmed Bahrain's stance on the urgent necessity of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the safeguarding of civilians, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid to the civilian population. He expressed his wishes for stability, growth, and prosperity for the Islamic Republic of Iran. On his part, Dr. Kani thanked the Minister for his call and underscored the importance of ongoing coordination and consultation between the two parties concerning regional developments. He also com mended Bahrain's participation in the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian President and wished the Kingdom progress and prosperity. Source: Bahrain News Agency
