Gaza - Ma'an - The Israeli occupation army completely destroyed eight hundred and fourteen (814) mosques during its war on Gaza, and targeted nineteen (19) cemeteries. The Awqaf said in a statement that the total cost of losses and damages suffered by the Ministry of Awqaf is about three hundred and fifty million (350) million dollars until the issuance of this statement. It explained that the missiles and bombs of the occupation leveled eight hundred and fourteen (814) mosques to the ground and completely destroyed them out of about one thousand two hundred and forty-five (1245) mosques in the Gaza Strip, at a rate of (seventy-nine percent) (79%), and (one hundred and forty-eight) (148) mosques were also partially and severely damaged. The occupation's criminality reached the point of bombing a number of mosques and prayer halls over the heads of safe worshipers, as happened in the prayer hall of the Al-Tabi'in School in Gaza City. The Israeli aggression machine also completely destroyed (three) (3) churc hes, all located in Gaza City. The occupation targeted nineteen (19) cemeteries spread across the governorates of the Gaza Strip, out of a total number of (sixty) (60) cemeteries, where it completely destroyed (eight) (8) cemeteries, and partially destroyed eleven (11) cemeteries. Rather, its criminality increased by digging up graves, stealing thousands of bodies of the dead and martyrs, and mutilating them after killing them in barbaric and brutal ways, noting that the statistics related to the cemeteries have not yet been completed due to the difficulty of reaching a number of them in light of the ongoing aggression. The statement added: 'The administrative and educational headquarters affiliated with the endowments were not spared from the brutality of the aggression, as the targeting extended to (eleven) (11) administrative and educational headquarters, representing (seventy-nine percent) (79%) of the total number of headquarters in the Gaza Strip, which amounted to (fourteen) (14) headquarters, where nine (9) headquarters were completely destroyed At the top of which are the main headquarters of the Ministry, the headquarters of its Holy Quran Radio, the Khan Yunis Endowments Directorate, the Antiquities and Manuscripts Center, the Endowments Sharia School for Boys, and the College of Islamic Propagation (Northern Branch). The "Israeli" war machine destroyed (nine) (9) vehicles belonging to the Ministry, including (six) (6) vehicles that were completely destroyed, and three (3) vehicles that were severely damaged. The number of martyrs who ascended from the employees of the Ministry of Endowments, its preachers and imams reached (two hundred and thirty-eight) (238) martyrs, while the number of detainees from our employees reached (nineteen) (19) detainees. The countries of the free world as a whole, international and UN organizations and Islamic institutions demanded immediate and urgent intervention and taking practical steps to stop the war of genocide and "Israeli" aggression on the Gaza Strip, and to hold it accountable for its criminal practices against defenseless civilians, mosques and places of worship.
