Lebanese Forces' leader, Samir Geagea, issued a statement on Thursday, in which he said: "Four months on the assassination of the LF Jbeil Coordinator, Pascal Sleiman, and the truth is yet to completely unfold. While there are five detainees held by the Lebanese Army Intelligence Directorate, the mastermind of the gang, Zakaria Zafer Qassem, and another key member, Rias Riyad Mimo, are still held by the Syrian authorities that refuse to hand them over to the Lebanese authorities." "My question for the ministers of justice and foreign affairs is: why are the Syrian authorities refusing to hand over the wanted individuals in the case of the killing of Lebanese citizen Pascal Sleiman?" Geagea asked, noting that the two men are detained in Syrian prisons and wanted by the Lebanese authorities. He stressed the importance of their arrest in unveiling the truth behind Sleiman's killing, urging the ministers of justice and foreign affairs, as well as the concerned security and judicial authorities to take the necess ary measures to ensure the extradition of said individuals.
