Gold Prices Increase Amid Adjusted US Interest Rate Expectations

Muscat:According to Oman News Agency, gold prices experienced a slight increase today as expectations for a US interest rate hike this month have declined due to lower-than-expected inflation data. Market participants are now focused on upcoming US jobs data for further insights into future monetary policy.

Spot gold saw a rise of 0.5%, reaching $4,175.19 per ounce. This increase marks a positive start to the month after gold prices fell by over 6% in September. US gold futures for December delivery also saw a rise, climbing 0.4% to $4,204.80.

Other precious metals experienced gains as well. Silver prices rose by 1.2% to $61.11 per ounce, platinum increased by 0.7% to $1,717.35, and palladium climbed 0.3% to $1,207.12.
