Greenland-US Negotiations Still Underway, Says Foreign Minister

Greenland: Greenland's Foreign Minister, Mute Egede, has confirmed that negotiations with the United States regarding the future of the Arctic island remain ongoing.

According to Oman News Agency, speaking during a debate at the European Parliament today, Greenland's Foreign Minister stated: "Officials are working hard to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, I cannot share details of those talks, but what I can tell you is that our dialogue is ongoing."

US President Donald Trump's assertions that the United States must acquire Greenland-a semi-autonomous Danish territory-have sparked tensions between Washington and Copenhagen, both founding members of NATO, and have raised broader concerns across Europe, although the issue has since moved to a diplomatic track.
