Gulf Air celebrates 50 years of operations to Egypt

Cairo, Gulf Air, Bahrain's national carrier, celebrated 50 years of operations between Bahrain and Egypt. This event highlighted the airline's commitment to key regional destinations, improving connectivity, and fostering long-term partnerships. The celebration marked the success of Gulf Air's Cairo route and welcomed notable attendees, including Fawzia Zainal, Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt, and representatives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egyptian Holding Company for Airport and Air Navigation, and Cairo Airport Company. Attendees also included representatives from various airlines, Gulf Air's partners, corporate clients, cargo agents, and members from Global Distribution Systems like Sabre, Amadeus, and Galileo. Since launching its Cairo route in 1974, Gulf Air has shown a dedication to service excellence, reflected in its growing passenger numbers, which have increased by 162% over the past five years. Gulf Air now connects Cairo to key markets such as Bahrain, GCC countries, Bangkok, Manila, and several destinations in India. The airline operates double daily flights to Cairo International Airport using a mixed fleet of B787, A320, A32N, A32D, A321, and A31N aircraft.
