Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi, announced in a statement that "As a follow up to the previous statement stipulating the closure of public and private schools, high schools, institutes and vocational schools Monday, and tomorrow (Tuesday) in the governorates of the South, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel and the Beirut southern suburb, it was decided to suspend classes in the governorates of Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the North and Akkar. The suspension of classes will also include the Lebanese University and private higher education institutions in all Lebanese regions tomorrow, Tuesday. The Minister called on all educational and university institutions' officials to follow up on the Ministry's statements in this regard. Source: National news agency - Lebanon
