A Hamas official denied, in a statement, 'what some media reported over the past few days about the arrest of a member of the movement on grounds of working for Israeli intelligence, as he was asked to monitor the movement of a senior Hamas figure who moves continuously between Lebanon and Syria." The Hamas official referred to the circulated news that the Israeli forces intend to carry out a landing operation near the al-Masnaa area with the aim of kidnapping the Hamas leader, during his return from Damascus, considering it as 'fabricated and baseless news.' The official indicated that the goal is to undermine the movement and distort its reputation, in light of the victories it has made with other resistance factions in Gaza, hoping that the media will "ensure accuracy and objectivity in conveying news and information."
