Hamas: Israel’s talk about assassinating Al-Daif is false

Gaza - Ma'an - Hamas condemned the horrific massacre in Mawasi, Khan Yunis, on Saturday, which it said constitutes a dangerous escalation in the series of crimes and massacres unprecedented in the history of wars, which are being committed in the Gaza Strip. Hamas said in a statement that this heinous massacre committed by the occupation army targeted the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, an area that the occupation army classified as a "safe area" and called on citizens to move to it, as the occupation's planes, artillery and drones intensively and successively targeted the tents of the displaced with various types of weapons, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded among innocent, defenseless civilians, according to the text of the statement. She added: The occupation's claims about targeting leaders are false claims, and this is not the first time that the occupation has claimed to target Palestinian leaders, and then it was later proven to be false, and these false claims are only to cover up the extent of the horrific massacre. She continued: The massacre of Mawasi Khan Younis, which targeted an area crowded with more than eighty thousand displaced persons, is a clear confirmation by the occupation government of its continuation of the war of extermination against our Palestinian people, through the repeated and systematic targeting of defenseless civilians in tents, displacement centers and residential neighborhoods, and committing the most heinous crimes against them, disregarding calls to stop targeting innocent civilians, or paying attention to any of the laws of war that impose their protection. She continued: This disregard for international law and treaties, and the widespread violations against defenceless civilians, would not have continued without the support provided by the US administration, by covering up its crimes, providing it with all means of political and military support, and paralysing the hand of international justice from carrying out its role towards these crimes, which make s it a full partner in them.
