HEBRON-Ma'an- The Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development organized today, Wednesday, for the eighth consecutive year, the Step Forum for Choosing a University Major, under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham. The forum targets high school students in particular and secondary school students in general, at the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry Theater. The association's president, Suhair Hassouna, opened the forum and welcomed the attendees, including students and guests, in addition to the universities participating in the forum with corners. She thanked the organizers of the forum, including employees and the preparatory committee. She explained that this forum comes from the association's goals of spreading community awareness among all members of society. This was followed by a speech by the Ministry of Education, delivered by Eng. Safaa Abu Kharshiq, Director of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Office in the city of Hebron. This forum aims to activate community forces in order to contribute to arranging the priorities of our students in the field of choosing their university specializations and to contribute to raising their awareness in this field through an educational day that includes meetings and dialogues with speakers and academics in different specializations to open more options and horizons and expand students' awareness to choose their university specializations in a more disciplined manner and aware of the needs of the nation. The forum included many segments, including a lecture (A B Choosing a University Major) with Dr. Asmaa Al-Sharbaty, followed by the central lecture entitled (How to Choose a University Major) with Eng. Nadeem Abu Khalaf. Dr. Bilal Al-Shoubaki also presented a segment entitled (Advice for a Better University Life) and a segment entitled (Work between a Job and Leadership) with Ms. Shahd Imam, in addition to a number of inspiring experiences with Dr. Sami Makharza and his journey in stu dying chemistry, Engineer Hanadi Hijazi and her experience in studying interior design and decoration, and Mr. Rani Al-Sharbaty spoke about his study of fine arts. The forum concluded with honoring the universities participating in the university exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum. Happy Homes Association for Culture and Development seeks to repeat this forum annually so that the largest possible number of students can benefit from it through cooperation with governmental and private educational institutions.
