Manama, The Higher Education Council (HEC), organised a visual forum between the University of Cyprus and higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, chaired by Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al Jahromi, HEC Secretary-General, and attended by Andreas Eliades, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Bahrain, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Cyprus. Al Jahromi pointed out the importance of such initiatives in developing the higher education system and promoting higher education institutions in the Kingdom, stating that this forum aims to enhance opportunities for international cooperation in the field of higher education, explore partnerships, and broaden horizons in various fields of higher education and scientific research between the two sides. Al Jahromi emphasised the keenness of the Higher Education Council, headed by the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Council, to support educational institutions in effective cooperat ion with prestigious international universities, concerning academic programs, scientific research, and joint exchange, to enhance academic excellence, the quality of educational outcomes, and contributing to supporting the national economy based on knowledge and achieving sustainable development. The forum introduced participating educational institutions and academic programmes offered by both parties. After the meeting, the Secretary-General thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for coordinating the holding of the forum in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Higher Education Council. Representatives of higher education institutions expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss ways of cooperation between the two parties.
