The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism organized the first discussion panels for tourism companies operating in the European market. The panels were launched at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre today. The discussions saw the participation of local companies operating in the tourism sector and representatives of the authorities concerned in the Sultanate of Oman. This session was held on the sidelines of an event titled 'Marhaba Europe' ('Welcome, Europe' or 'Hello Europe'), which began on 31 August 2024 and will conclude tomorrow (Thursday), 5 September 2024. Participants in the discussion panels include representatives of tourism companies from France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland and Spain. The delegations toured some governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The event seeks to attract 70 tourism companies from European markets and consolidate ties with partners in the local tourism sector. It also aims to promote tourism products, highlight experiences and highlight hote l facilities in Oman. The first discussion panel, entitled 'Global Tourism Trends Compared to Omani Tourism Trends,' highlighted the most prominent developments in the local and global tourism sectors, as well as ways to optimize common gains in a manner that serves the objectives of developing the tourism sector in Oman. The opening ceremony was attended by Tourism Undersecretary Azzan Qassim Al Busaidi, and officials from the Ministry. Source: Oman News Agency
