Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, arrived in Kuwait today to head the Sultanate of Oman's delegation at the 45th GCC Summit, which will be held later today. According to Oman News Agency, Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, led the welcoming party for HH Sayyid Fahd upon his arrival at the Amiri Airport. HH Sayyid Fahd was also received by Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Prime Minister, Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, GCC Secretary General, and a number of officials in the State of Kuwait. Upon his arrival, HH Sayyid Fahd delivered a press statement conveying greetings from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the leaders of the GCC states on the occasion of the 45th Summit of GCC leaders. He expressed His Majesty's sincere wishes for progress and prosperity to the leadership and people of Ku wait and hoped for the success of the conference in achieving its goals. The GCC has achieved significant accomplishments in various fields since its inception, which necessitates continued efforts to preserve these gains and enhance cooperation among GCC members. The rapid developments in regional and international arenas demand an exchange of views to forge a unified vision, coordinate stands, and address challenges, thereby facilitating growth and fulfilling the aspirations of future generations. HH Sayyid Fahd reaffirmed Oman's support for the GCC's progress and expressed appreciation for Kuwait's efforts in this regard. He concluded with prayers for continuous progress and prosperity for the Kuwaiti people and all GCC nations. HH Sayyid Fahd is joined by an official delegation that includes Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Sa'eedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Dr. Saleh Amer Al Kharousi, Ambassador of Om an to Kuwait, and Abdullah Khalfan Al Balushi, Head of the Private Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.
