Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, received General Fabien Mandon, Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, and his accompanying delegation at Al Murtafaa Camp.

According to Oman News Agency, the discussions focused on the strong relations between Oman and France. Both parties addressed current regional and international developments and explored ways to enhance joint interests. The meeting also covered several topics of mutual concern.

The Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces and the French Ambassador to Oman were also present during the meeting.
