Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, offered Eid Al Adha prayer today at Al Khor Mosque in Muscat. He was joined in prayer by several other members of the Royal family, their highnesses, as well as ministers and senior officials. According to Oman News Agency, the congregation was led by Sheikh Dr. Kahlan bin Nabhan Al Kharousi, Assistant Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman. The sermon delved into the meanings of Eid Al Adha and the values it embodies, such as faith, obedience, and unity. It emphasized that these days renew Muslims' connection with the Almighty Allah through devotion, remembrance, submission, and gratitude. The sermon also served as a reminder that Islam is a religion of mercy, moderation, and justice. The sermon addressed the current state of the world, marked by turmoil, injustice, and moral imbalance. It reaffirmed the Muslim's duty to uphold truth, justice, and wisdom, and to avoid being drawn into oppression or hatred.
