Manama, The eighth edition of the His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Best Bahraini Volunteer Project concluded yesterday. The award was organised by the Good Word Society in collaboration with the Arab Union for Voluntary Work, as part of the 14th edition of the His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work. Hasan Bu Hazza, President of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work and Chairman of the Good Word Society, highlighted that the evaluation process is designed to select the winners while providing participants with the opportunity to exchange expertise and foster a strong a culture of volunteerism in Bahrain. The judging panel, comprising Dr. Faleh Al Rowaili, Dr. Budoor Buheji, and Mohammed Ahmadi, assessed 39 volunteer projects based on the project's objectives, target groups, alignment with sustainable development goals, and potential for future development. The organising committee has allocated cash prizes totalling BHD 7,500 for the winning organisations. These awards wil l be presented at the society's ceremony in September, which will honour pioneers of volunteer work across the Arab world. Source: Bahrain News Agency
